HOUSE WIRING
House Wiring
The process of connecting different accessories for distributing
electrical energy from supplier to home appliances such as lamps, fans and
other domestic appliances is known as Electrical Wiring.
The basic idea of a “series” connection is that
components are connected end-to-end in a line to form a single path through
which current can flow:
What Is a Parallel Connection?
The basic idea of a “parallel” connection,
on the other hand, is that all components are connected across each other’s
leads.
Different methods of House Wiring
1.
Cleat wiring
Cleat wiring is one of the
cheapest wiring systems considering the initial cost and labor and it is most
suitable for a temporary electrical wiring system. This wiring system is
quickly installed, easily inspected and altered. In this type of wiring VIR or
PVC insulated wire is used as a conductor.
2.
Casing Capping
PVC insulated wires are placed in the plastic casing and covered with a
cap, hence the name ‘Casing Capping’. Casing is a rectangular strip where the
cables run through it having grooves.
3. Conduit Wiring
In one method conduit is laid on
the surface of the wall, ceiling etc. This is called surface wiring.
The other method is to lay the conduit recessed in wall or ceiling, and
this system is known as concealed wiring.
